The forum will include Russell Foundation board members Charles Campbell, Hugh Peterson, and Norman Underwood as well as Russell Library director Sheryl Vogt. The group will discuss the genesis and development of the Library, looking back forty years later.
Dedication of Russell Mural
Monday, Oct. 27, 4:30-5:15 p.m. (Lobby, 1st Floor)
Norman Underwood, chair of the Russell Foundation, will recognize the contributions of Judge William Norton and Senator Herman Talmadge in founding the Russell Library. Following brief remarks, Underwood will unveil the new Russell Mural in the lobby of the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries, and a plaque honoring Norton and Talmadge inside the Russell Library Gallery.

The screening of this short film, produced by Georgia Public Broadcasting, will be followed by a Q&A discussion with Pamela Roberts, filmmaker and producer; Don Johnson, Director, Dean Rusk Center for International Law and Policy; and Richard Rusk.

Featured speaker Vice Admiral Charles L. Munns, former commander of the nuclear-powered USS RICHARD B. RUSSELL (SSN-687) and later, Commander of the US Submarine Force, will speak about his command of the RUSSELL and submarine warfare.
